| | yea, I think it'd be better in the new year sometime but we'll see who else is interested and when works best for everyone (come on guys, you were all talking about how you have trouble meeting other GLBTQ people )

| *pokes thread*
I'm interested.
However, location is a bit of a factor. I'm fine with any place where there aren't people making out on a 'dance' floor and drugs and music so loud it takes away from the whole point of socializing.
*does a little dance* It'd be super fun to put a face behind everyone's usernames

| | I know the time that I met cijay and another woman who used to moderate the old board (who's name I've since forgotten... how embarassing) we went to Café Mozaics on Whyte Ave but yea, bars/nightclubs don't make great places for real socialisation - too loud and busy among other things, I agree

| | I remember the lady's real name but she didn't post under that name so I'll keep it under my hat. Cafe Mosaics was fine, my classmates and I went to Nikita's downtown, 101A, around Rice Howard Way. It was small and pretty quiet but if anyone in a wheelchair comes along then it wouldn't be practical. There IS a wheelchair stall in the loo but to get there you go down this narrow hallway and up 3 stairs. |
