I'm very interested in YouthSpace.

I recently told my family and best friends (I'm not ready to tell everyone) that I am bisexual. It's been difficult; of my four best friends, two are bisexual, and the other two accept it completely, so that was perfectly okay. My mother and stepfather have accepted it. My mum was very happy for me. My father and stepmother, on the other hand, (whom I live with) have not accepted this. I am a Christian, as they are, and they're all "It's a sin".

I am super shy and not comfortable around a lot of people, and especially not comfortable telling most people in my life that I am bi. So I've decided getting involved with YouthSpace and YUY is a good way to make friends who will accept my sexuality right away.

I'm wondering what kind of activities go on at YouthSpace and YUY?

YouthSpace is more of a casual drop-in & hang out sort of space with computer and video games and all that stuff... YUY is more of a structured group and they do a different activity every week - I believe there is a link to their schedule under 'Activities' on the YouthSpace page

Hopefully things will get better for you. I came out a couple years ago and well i dont have the greatest relationship with some people beacsue im a lesbain, but iv gotten used to it. not every one will warm up to you and its somthing your gonna have to learn to live with.

BUT!!!!...lots of good things come with coming out too =)... like it doesnt feel like you have to hide your self any more, or like you have to pretend to be some one else just so people like you.

lol sorry i kinda got off topic there i guess... sorry about that.

lol.

i dont even remeber where i was going with all of that. so whatever. lol.

msg me back if u wanna talk haha

Yeah, it's been kind of rough with my parents, but it's alright because my friends have been so supportive.

I know what you mean about not having to hide it anymore; it lifts a huge burden off your shoulders, huh? I felt like running around town screaming, "I'M FREE!"
That would have been a little much though

its hard but you get used to it. im still trying to figure it out. it gets distracting sometimes though

what would you do for something that you believe in? anything or would you just sit and watch the world go by? The world is changing and there's nothing anybody can do about it. so it makes sense if people stand up for themselves and their rights. Anyone who thinks that they can beat other people up just because their different has some serious problems with themselves.
