| Arctic Frontrunners ArcticFront Runners
ArcticFront Runners is a group of gay and lesbian runners from the
Edmonton area. Our goal is to provide a recreational opportunity for
our community in a welcoming social context. Weekly runs are held on
Sunday mornings at 10. In the spring, summer, and fall we run from
Emily Murphy Park at the south end of the Groat Road bridge, in the
winter from the Kinsmen Sports Centre at the south end of the
Walterdale bridge. We run on the river valley trail system, typically
from 5 to 7 km. Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome; some of
our members walk rather than run. After our runs we gather at a nearby
coffee shop and socialize. There are no membership fees for the group.
